Himachal Pradesh continues its large-scale restoration efforts after weeks of heavy monsoon rain, flash floods, and landslides disrupted roads, power supply, and drinking water services across the state. State authorities have instructed departments to restore blocked roads as quickly as possible, especially with the apple harvesting season approaching. Ensuring uninterrupted transport for farmers, emergency services, and daily commuters remains a key priority. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that additional heavy rainfall could affect parts of Himachal Pradesh, increasing the risk of landslides, flash floods, and road closures. Residents and tourists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel in vulnerable areas and follow local advisories.
