Samsung Galaxy Z Series: Tech company Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones have set a new record for pre-orders in India. According to the company’s announcement, the Galaxy Z series has set a new record for pre-orders. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 smartphones were launched on July 22. More than 2.71 lakh pre-orders were received in less than 72 hours after the smartphones were launched.
The company said that it took 15 days to receive so many pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 last year. The company has informed that about half of the pre-orders came from small cities. This suggests that foldable smartphones are gaining popularity beyond major metros.
Samsung said that 45 percent of pre-orders came from Tier 2 cities and beyond. This shows the growing interest in foldable smartphones beyond major cities in India. The company says that due to this strong response, it is confident that the ‘Galaxy Z Fold 8’ series will be able to match the pre-order performance of the ‘Galaxy S26’ lineup launched earlier this year.
Samsung’s President and CEO of Southwest Asia, JB Park, said that the overwhelming response to our new Galaxy Z series shows that there is a growing demand in India for innovative technologies that enhance productivity and boost creativity. They said that 45 percent of pre-orders are coming from tier-2 and smaller cities, which shows us an emerging market with huge growth potential.
