Manchester United are getting an offer ready for Lewis Hall as the club aim to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Newcastle United.

Manchester United have tracked Hall for a long time and are now prepared to test Newcastle’s determination with a formal bid.

It is proving to be a summer of major change at Newcastle, with Eddie Howe set to leave his position as manager after five years, while Al-Ahli head coach Matthias Jaissle is expected to take over. Newcastle have already sold important players in Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, and Bruno Guimaraes is also anticipated to join Arsenal.

The Magpies have concentrated on signing younger players, and Manchester United are now looking to use that rebuilding phase to make a move for Hall. The Red Devils see the 21-year-old as a long-term successor to Luke Shaw and, according to TEAMtalk, are preparing an offer for the defender, who is valued at £60m.

Racing Santander teenager Jorge Salinas has also appeared as one of the main alternative targets if United are unable to complete a deal for Hall.

The 19-year-old caught the eye for Spain at the Under-19 European Championship during the summer and made 33 senior appearances last season as Santander won promotion back to La Liga. However, United are not alone in the race, with Barcelona also pushing to sign Salinas.
