If you aspire to secure a government job, this article is tailored for you. The Indian Air Force has initiated recruitment for Agnipath Scheme under the Agniveer Non-Combatant Intake 01/2027. Only unmarried male candidates who have completed their 10th grade are eligible to apply. The application process will be conducted offline, and the deadline for submission is set for August 17, 2026.
Who Can Apply?
- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
- Only unmarried male applicants are eligible.
- Completion of 10th grade from a recognized board is mandatory.
- Birth dates must fall between January 1, 2005, and July 1, 2009 (both dates included).
- The maximum age limit during recruitment should not exceed 22 years.

What Will Be the Salary?
During the four-year service period, Agniveers will receive an increasing monthly package.
- The first-year monthly package will be ₹30,000, with a take-home salary of ₹21,000.
- The second-year package will rise to ₹33,000, with a take-home salary of ₹23,100.
- In the third year, the package will be ₹36,500, with a take-home salary of ₹25,550.
- The fourth-year package will reach ₹40,000, with a take-home salary of ₹28,000.
Upon completion of service, candidates will receive a service fund package of approximately ₹10.04 lakh (including interest). Additional benefits include:

Know the Selection Process
- Candidates must first take a written examination.
- This will be followed by a physical fitness test.
- Next, a stream suitability test will be conducted.
- Finally, a medical examination will take place.

Physical Test Requirements
Candidates must meet the following standards:
- Run 1.6 kilometers in 7 minutes
- 10 push-ups
- 10 sit-ups
- 20 squats
Medical Standards
- Minimum height: 152 cm
- Chest expansion: at least 5 cm
- Weight: according to height and age
- Vision standards for both eyes
- Normal hearing ability
- At least 14 dental points
- Overall physical and mental health
