Author Tomi Adeyemi has shared an emotional account of her experience with the upcoming Children of Blood and Bone film adaptation, alleging that the production process had a significant impact on her mental and physical well-being.

The 33-year-old writer took to Instagram to speak candidly about what she described as an extremely difficult period while the highly anticipated adaptation of her bestselling fantasy novel was being made.

In the video, Adeyemi revealed that one of the most painful moments came after visiting the film’s set. She said the experience left her overwhelmed with emotion, claiming she was “hyperventilating and sobbing” after leaving the production.
