Prashant Kishor leads Bankipur Bypoll: On August 3, the election results of the much talked about Bankipur by-election in Bihar, Datia Assembly by-election in Madhya Pradesh and Manjalpur by-election in Gujarat were declared. Voting for all three seats was held on July 30. Among these three seats, the most talked about seats are Datia in Madhya Pradesh and Bankipur seat in Bihar, on which the eyes of the entire country are fixed. While the Congress candidate is leading in Datia, in Bankipur, Jansuraj founder Prashant Kishor is maintaining a strong lead. In Manjalpur in Gujarat, the BJP candidate won by 30630 votes.
Prashant Kishor holds a strong lead with 55,780 votes, a total of 16,887. Meanwhile, in the Datia Assembly by-election, Congress candidate Ghanshyam Singh leads with 61,708 votes, a total of 11,045.
Commenting on Prashant Kishor’s strong lead in the Bankipur Assembly by-election vote count, Bihar government minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “This is the land of democracy, and the BJP has always embraced the public mandate. Unlike the opposition, we never blame the Election Commission or EVMs. In a democracy, we respect constitutional institutions. The party will conduct a thorough review. This is the same land of Bihar where we won 202 seats just six months ago.”
RJD MP Misa Bharti, speaking about Prashant Kishor’s lead in the Bankipur assembly by-election, said that while this is a defeat for the BJP candidate, if Prashant Kishor wins there, it’s a victory for the BJP. The candidates were changed there. What was the reason for the change? Prashant Kishor has made many promises to the public that are impossible. It’s very difficult for any party’s MPs or MLAs to fulfill all of these promises.
He said that this place is a BJP stronghold, where no work has been done in the last 35-40 years. They are promising that they will enroll children in private schools in Patna, eliminating the need for them to attend government schools. The public is unaware of the fact that Prashant Kishore is the real BJP candidate. It will take time for the public to understand this, but they will see it when he wins.
