Fenerbahce have emerged as unexpected contenders in the race to sign Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford.

The Turkish heavyweights are willing to spend big to complete a move for the 28-year-old.

Fenerbahce have already made contact with Rashford’s representatives as they aim to bring an elite winger into their squad.

The Super Lig side also have AC Milan’s Rafael Leao and Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr on their transfer shortlist.

Rashford had a respectable World Cup campaign with England, registering two goal contributions in six appearances.

He remains under contract at United until 2028, but the club are prepared to let him leave during this summer transfer window.

Rashford spent last season on loan at Barcelona after slipping down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

He delivered impressive displays for the Catalan side, scoring 14 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions.

Barcelona decided not to activate the £26 million option to turn his stay into a permanent transfer.

The Blaugrana wanted to retain Rashford either for a lower permanent fee or through another loan arrangement. Manchester United did not accept either proposal.

The England international now has the chance to move to Fenerbahce, one of the most successful clubs in Turkey.

The Super Lig outfit are keen to sign the experienced forward, although he may prefer to remain in one of Europe’s leading leagues.
