Once upon a time, children used to dream of becoming engineers. Some would express their desire to work abroad to their parents. However, today’s youth are dreaming of becoming content creators. Many parents still cannot imagine putting their children in front of the camera day and night, even after they have stopped their studies. They start opposing their children’s decisions. However, it is not right to hinder the decisions of an adult child. Rather, find out what parents should do in such a situation.

Content creators are increasing at a rapid pace. They highlight various aspects of life in their own way. Some show cooking, some post videos of grooming and beauty care and go viral. Many content creators highlight their daily lives in reels or vlogs. And whenever they get time, they scroll through their mobile phones and watch them. And seeing that, many young people have started dreaming of becoming content creators. As time goes by, that trend is increasing. Why is the tendency to become content creators increasing? One is the desire to do something independently without capital. And secondly, the addiction to popularity.

You must be wondering what to do if your child also dreams of becoming a content creator. Should you reject the offer outright or let him make his own decision or tell him to finish his studies well first? Such questions are running through your mind? According to parenting experts,

  • You may not agree with your child’s proposal. But don’t reject it outright. Because, at that time, your child is also going through various dilemmas. Whether he will succeed or not, the child is also worried. So give thoughtful advice.
  • Ask them what kind of content they want to create. Explain to them that they should not do anything that violates the boundaries of decency. It could potentially harm their reputation or that of your family.
  • Many people want to work as content creators along with their studies. In that case, make sure that there is no neglect in their studies. Don’t scold them. Explain the necessity of studies.

Parenting tips: What should parents do if their child wants to become a content creator?

Tell your child that they can work as a content creator. But it should not be the child’s only profession. It can be an alternative. It is good if they succeed in it. Otherwise, they cannot give up. Rather, they have to try.
