Light to moderate showers occurred over Delhi and parts of NCR, resulting in overcast skies and cooler conditions. The rainfall also provided temporary relief from the recent humidity.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast cloudy skies over Delhi with the possibility of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in isolated areas throughout the day.

According to the IMD, the monsoon remains active over northern India, with favourable conditions likely to support intermittent rainfall in Delhi and neighbouring regions. Officials have advised residents to remain cautious during thunderstorms and while travelling, especially in areas susceptible to waterlogging.

The IMD issued a yellow alert for the National Capital, warning of intermittent showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds expected to persist. Active monsoon conditions are forecast to continue over Delhi-NCR in the coming days.

Rainfall was reported in several parts of the city during the early morning hours, notably at Rafi Marg, Raisina Road, Firozshah Road, Kautilya Marg, and RK Puram. Cloudy skies accompanied the showers, which slowed traffic on some routes as commuters travelled to work.

The southwest monsoon, which typically brings widespread rainfall to the National Capital between late June and September, remains under close observation by weather officials who provide forecasts based on current atmospheric conditions.

Following the morning showers, residents experienced a relatively pleasant start to the day. The weather department indicated that similar conditions may prevail over parts of Delhi-NCR, and authorities have urged caution during travel in periods of rainfall.
