The southwest monsoon has intensified across large parts of India, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue weather alerts for several states. Delhi-NCR remains under a Yellow Alert, while Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam, and parts of Northeast India are expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.
According to the IMD, Delhi and the adjoining NCR region are likely to experience generally cloudy skies, intermittent light to moderate rainfall, and isolated spells of heavy rain over the next few days. The Yellow Alert has been issued due to the possibility of waterlogging, traffic congestion, and reduced visibility during intense showers.
