The Leicester youngster has become the focus of a transfer battle.

Only last month, 17-year-old Jeremy Monga left the Foxes for Manchester City in a deal reportedly worth £12.5million. Arsenal had been keen to land the teenager, but missed out at the final stage.

Now Arsenal and Aston Villa are understood to be monitoring Louis Page, although Manchester United are reportedly leading the race to sign the highly-rated youngster.

Page featured for Leicester against Northampton in the Carabao Cup last weekend, but he may soon be playing in the Premier League.

The 18-year-old is viewed as one of the most exciting young prospects outside the Premier League.

He was named EFL Apprentice of the Year last season, despite Leicester being relegated to League One. Previous winners of the award include England and Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham.

A left-footed central midfielder with an attacking instinct, Page has already made 21 senior appearances for Leicester and is also an England Under-20 international.

The teenager, who is over six feet tall, has regularly been praised for his ability to beat the press and make late runs into the penalty area to create goalscoring chances.

Page is said to support Manchester United, which gives the Red Devils an important edge in a fiercely contested transfer chase.

Leicester handed Page professional terms last year, meaning United — or any other interested club — would have to agree a transfer fee with the League One side rather than having the value of the move determined by a tribunal.
