Various dishes like chapatis, breads, patties etc. are eaten along with the sauce. But commercial sauces are often loaded with preservatives, chemicals and added sugar. Action:
To make tomato sauce first, wash the tomatoes and cut them into four pieces. Add tomatoes, onions, ginger and garlic to the cooker pot, add little water and keep it for cooking.
After one whistle of the cooker turn off the flame and keep the whole mixture to cool. Put the cooled ingredients in a mixer bowl and make a fine paste.
Strain the prepared paste thoroughly with the help of a strainer. This will reduce the thickness and grind the paste properly.
Pour the prepared mixture in a pan and keep it to cook on low flame. Then add sugar, both types of salt, kashmiri red chillies and garam masala and mix well.
After the prepared sauce thickens, add white vinegar to it and mix well. The addition of vinegar keeps the sauce well for longer.
After the sauce thickens completely turn off the heat and keep it to cool. Pour the cooled sauce into a glass jar.
