Turkish heavyweights Fenerbahce have reportedly struck an agreement with Napoli over the transfer fee for centre-forward Romelu Lukaku.

According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Gianluca Di Marzio and several other outlets, Napoli have agreed to sell Lukaku to Fenerbahce for €6m plus bonuses.

As per updates from Sky, Napoli could also earn a further €3m in bonuses. Of that amount, €2m will be tied to appearances, while another €1m will be payable if Fenerbahce win the Turkish Super Lig title in 2026-27.

Lukaku initially joined Napoli from Chelsea in the summer of 2024 for €30m plus bonuses. He then played his part in helping the Partenopei win the Serie A title at the end of that season. He has now entered the final 12 months of the three-year contract he signed in the summer of 2024 and is no longer assured of a starting place at the Stadio Maradona following last summer’s arrival of Rasmus Hojlund.

Sky reports that the Belgium international has already completed part of his medical tests with Fenerbahce and is now expected to travel to Istanbul in the near future.

As for Napoli, various reports over the past few days claim that Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is being considered as a possible replacement.
