According to the UP NEET UG counseling rules, if a candidate fails to take admission after being allotted a seat in the stray vacancy round, their security deposit may be forfeited. Additionally, they are barred from the subsequent UP NEET UG counseling. Similarly, candidates who secure admission to a government or private medical or dental college after the final round of counseling but vacate the seat before completing their studies are debarred from the admission process for the next academic year.

**Registration Open Until August 12**
Registration for admission to 85% of the state quota MBBS and BDS seats under the UP NEET UG 2026-27 counseling began on August 7. The deadline for submitting applications and fees is August 12, 2026. Candidates who qualified in NEET UG 2026 can register by logging in to the official website.

**Documents and Security Deposit Required**
During registration, candidates must upload their High School and Intermediate mark sheets, reservation certificates (if applicable), and domicile certificates. They must also select a nodal center for the online verification of documents.

**Mandatory Security Deposit for Choice Filling**
Depositing a security amount is mandatory for choice filling. Candidates must deposit ₹30,000 for government medical seats, ₹2 lakh for private medical colleges, and ₹1 lakh for private dental colleges. A security deposit of ₹2 lakh is prescribed for those opting for both medical and dental courses. Locking the choices is mandatory. Candidates should select only those colleges where they genuinely wish to secure admission. Locking the choices is essential; once locked, no changes can be made. If a seat is allotted in a government college, the admission process will be completed at that college itself, whereas for private colleges, the admission process will take place at a designated nodal center.
