Silver prices rise for the second consecutive day after three days of stability.
As for silver, prices have increased for the second consecutive day today, following three days of stability. Over these two days, the price of one kilogram of silver has risen by ₹10,100. Today in Delhi, the price of one kilogram of silver has risen by ₹100, bringing it to ₹2,55,100. In other major metropolitan cities like Mumbai and Kolkata, it is trading at the same rate. However, in Chennai, the price for a kilogram of silver stands at ₹2,60,100, making it the most expensive among the four major metros.
**What the experts say**
According to Pranav Mer, Senior Vice President of EBG Commodity and Currency Research at JM Financial Services, the shine of gold and silver could increase in the short term. Mer believes that the price of 10 grams of gold could reach ₹1.57 lakh and one kilogram of silver could hit ₹2.80 lakh. Gaurav Garg, Head of Research at Lemon Market Desk, states that investors are showing interest in gold ahead of the release of US inflation data, boosting its appeal, while investment and industrial demand for silver also remain strong. US inflation figures are scheduled to be released on August 12.
