Home Medicare service: Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai has launched 'Home Medicare', a dedicated home healthcare service for senior citizens and ambulatory patients. The aim of this initiative is to reduce the need for patients to visit hospitals or clinics frequently and bring the necessary medical care to their homes. This service will enable senior citizens, patients with mobility issues, patients managing chronic diseases, as well as patients receiving home care after surgery or hospitalization to receive healthcare in the familiar environment of home.
Under 'Home Medicare', experienced doctors will visit patients' homes for medical advice, follow-up check-ups, health assessment and treatment guidance. Treatment will be provided under the supervision of a doctor to manage acute as well as chronic health problems. This can help reduce the need for patients to visit the hospital each time.

Holy Family Hospital Family Physician Sister Dr. This service has been started on the initiative of Shaini Joyce. According to him, healthcare should be easily accessible to everyone. Home health care can be especially important for seniors and patients who are unable to leave the house for whom frequent visits to the hospital or clinic are difficult. They noted that home healthcare can help maintain continuity of care, reduce unnecessary hospital visits, and provide patients with care in a familiar environment.
Caring for an aging parent or family member with a chronic illness is often a challenge for families.
