In this, Indian team will play in quarter final 2 and Pakistan is in quarter final 1. Both the teams have to play their quarter-final match on September 28. After this, if the Indian team qualifies for the semi-finals, then the Indian team will play its match against the winning team of Quarter Final 3, whereas if Pakistan reaches the semi-finals, then it will face the winning team of Quarter Final 4 in the semi-finals. It has become clear that both the teams are not going to face each other till the semi-finals. Both the semi-final matches will be played on October 1.
Will face each other only in gold or bronze medal match
It has become clear from this format that the teams of India and Pakistan are not going to face each other till the semi-final match in the Asian Games. In such a situation, if both the teams reach the finals then they may face each other in the gold medal match. If only one of the two teams reaches the final, then there will be no clash between India and Pakistan. Whereas if both the teams are unable to reach the final, then in that case the bronze medal match will be played between India and Pakistan. The gold medal match and bronze medal match of the men’s event in the Asian Games 2026 will be played on October 3.
