Mahindra has just teased a new iteration of their sporty BE 6 electric SUV. We’re talking about the BE 6 Formula E Edition which celebrates Mahindra’s heritage and legacy in Formula E world. The company introduced Formula E Edition in November 2025 alongside the new M12Electro race car. However,  had a unique design and fascia of its own, which was a complete departure from standard BE 6. Now, Mahindra has just teased a new BE 6 Formula E Edition which features the design and aesthetics of standard BE 6 launched 1.5 years before.

Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Updated

The first iteration of Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition was launched in November 2025 and it was limited to 999 units and was offered in FE2 and FE3 trims. First iteration of BE 6 Formula E Edition had unique fascia which was inspired by the Mahindra Rall-E Concept, featuring round LED headlights, eyebrow-like LED DRLs and more. Second iteration of Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition gets the same C-shaped LED DRLs that people have come to love with standard BE 6. Even the sleeker LED headlights and the more conventional bumpers with fog lights are expected to be carried forward with second iteration of BE 6 Formula E Edition.

The teaser showed the Tango Red shade and we can expect multiple colour options too. Distinguishing factors like Formula E themed 12-stripe body decals, Formula E badge on front fenders and roof decals are expected too. Wheels could get a Black finish as well and brake callipers may get Firestorm Orange contrast colour.

Same Interior or Triple Screen?

On the inside, new and updated Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition is expected to feature the same Firestorm Orange highlights as its predecessor. Formula E logo on dashboard, FIA branded seat belts, Orange accents on steering wheel, controller, start-stop button & door straps, race-style start/stop button flap and a plaque with FIA and Formule E branding are expected too.

There could be unique Formula E digital startup animation and motorsport-inspired EV sound profile like in the predecessor. One question still remains is whether Mahindra will offer new BE 6 Formula E Edition with double screen dashboard with a split between driver and co-driver or offer   newer triple screen dashboard without a physical split between driver and co-driver. Predecessor had a sole powertrain option with a 79 kWh battery powering a 282 bhp single rear motor and DC fast charging of up to 180 kW. Most of the equipment and features announced with older BE 6 Formula E Edition were standard across the two trims, but FE3 was the only one to get exclusives like adaptive suspension, R20 alloy wheels and night train carpet lamps. Same could be the case with new BE 6 Formula E Edition.
