Google Fitbit Air— Tech giant Google has made a big announcement for fitness lovers in India. The Mountain View-based company will launch its first screen-free fitness tracker Google Fitbit Air in the Indian market in October 2026. The company officially confirmed this decision during the 'Made by Google' event briefing held on Thursday. The move comes soon after the global unveiling of the company's new flagship smartphones Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold and Pixel Watch 5.
Fitbit Air was recently introduced in select global markets. The biggest feature of this device is its completely screen-free design, which helps the user to focus only on fitness data collection by keeping the user away from the constant notifications of the display. The excitement about its launch in India intensified when it was recently seen listed on the e-commerce platform Amazon.
During the event, Google showcased a pink color option of the device, which was seen with the Performance Loop band. This clearly indicates that this model will definitely be sold in the Indian market at least in this shade. However, the company has not yet disclosed the price, remaining color options and exact retail channels of sale.
Apart from smartphones and wearables, Google has also launched Google Pixel Tag, stepping into a completely new product category. This device will directly compete with Apple's AirTag and help users track their valuables easily.
With this step of the company, competition is going to increase significantly in the Indian wearable market. The trend of screen-free wearables is proving to be perfect for users who want to track their health metrics along with a digital detox. Google is strengthening the entire ecosystem of its new products in India. As the festive season (October 2026) approaches, the company will reveal its exact availability and Indian prices.
