Monsoon rains continue continuously in Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in the state for tomorrow i.e. 18th August. According to Meteorological Center Lucknow, due to the depression and monsoon trough in the Bay of Bengal, rainfall activities have intensified in the entire state.
In view of this aggressive nature of weather, 'Yellow Alert' of heavy rain has been issued in 23 districts of Western and Eastern UP. People will get relief from the scorching heat and humidity due to continuous rains, but in the areas of heavy rains, they may also have to face waterlogging and major problems for transportation.
Tomorrow the weather will remain pleasant but rainy in both Western Uttar Pradesh and Eastern Uttar Pradesh divisions. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a high possibility of rain and heavy showers with thunder and lightning at many places in these two areas. Along with this, extremely heavy rains have also been predicted in some areas of both the parts. In view of this bad weather, 'Yellow Alert' has been issued by the administration.

According to Meteorological Center Lucknow, at present a strong low pressure area (depression) is formed in the Bay of Bengal and its surrounding coastal areas. Along with this, the monsoon trough (main line of winds) is also directly affecting Uttar Pradesh. Due to the combined effect of these two major weather systems, monsoon activities remain intense across Uttar Pradesh and continuous heavy rains are being seen.
