The company has launched this handset a few months after launching the standard model Pova 8 in the country. Launched in the mid-range price segment, this smartphone has many powerful features. The price of the new smartphone launched by the company starts from Rs 49,999. The company will also offer some special bank offers over the phone. This will also allow customers to get instant cashback of up to Rs 3,000 on select credit card, debit card and UPI transactions. The new Pova smartphone will be available for purchase in India from August 21 on Flipkart. Customers can buy this smartphone in Arc White, Graphite Black and Tundra Green color options. Talking about the features and specifications of the new smartphone, it sports a 6.78-inch Hyperlux AMOLED display that supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The device offers a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The device runs on HiOS 16, which is based on Android 16. The tech company has promised two OS upgrades and three years of security updates for the Pova 8 Pro 5G.
The company's new handset has an IP69K rating for protection against dust and water. The smartphone is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset. Along with this, this phone is also provided with Techno P1 graphics chip. The device also has an ARM Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. For thermal management, the phone will get a vapor chamber cooling solution, which provides a heat dissipation area of 5,000 square mm. The back of the phone also features an Alive Matrix Display, which has 177 mini LEDs. The company claims that it creates breathing light effects for more than 49 scenarios.
Talking about the camera, the phone has a dual rear camera setup. The phone features a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. The phone has a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.
