Tijjani Reijnders has departed Manchester City to sign for Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah on a permanent transfer, subject to international clearance.
The Netherlands international midfielder arrived at City from AC Milan in June 2025 and made a total of 50 appearances, scoring seven goals in all competitions.
Reijnders notably scored for City on his Premier League debut in last August’s 4-0 away win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He also contributed to the club winning both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup during the 2025/26 season.
At international level, Reijnders, who has earned 35 caps for the Netherlands so far, was also included in the Dutch squad for the recent 2026 World Cup finals.
A technically accomplished central midfielder blessed with an outstanding work rate and an eye for goal, the 28-year-old is now set to take on a fresh challenge in the Saudi Pro League.
Looking back on his spell at City, Reijnders said he would remember his time at the Etihad with great affection.
“I have been incredibly privileged to play for Manchester City, and I have enjoyed every minute of my time here,” he said.
“From the moment I arrived, everyone at the club – players, coaches and staff – made me feel so welcome and part of the Manchester City family.
“I would also like to say a special thank you to the City fans, who were so warm and supportive to both me and my family.
“To be part of the squad that won two such special trophies last season were both incredible experiences and achievements that I will treasure forever.
“I may be moving on, but Manchester City will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Director of Football Hugo Viana said: “Tijjani certainly made his mark during his time here at Manchester City.
“He impressed everyone with his talent, commitment, hard work and complete dedication, and he was the perfect professional.
“He also played a hugely important role in both of our successful Carabao Cup and FA Cup campaigns.
“We thank Tijjani for everything he has done here and wish him every success as he begins the next chapter of his career.”
Everyone at Manchester City wishes Tijjani all the very best for the future.
