Southampton and USMNT striker Damion Downs is attracting attention from several MLS clubs, according to Southampton insider Alfie House.
The 22-year-old spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan with Bundesliga outfit Hamburg, where he did not score in 12 appearances.
Even so, Downs is regarded as a player to keep an eye on in American football circles, and that has led to interest from MLS sides.
The forward earned a call-up from USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino in 2025 after an impressive spell with FC Koln, during which he helped the club win the league title and secure automatic promotion to the Bundesliga. He finished that year with 11 goals and six assists in only 1,964 minutes on the pitch.
