Singapore, ranked the world’s second-richest country by GDP per capita in 2025, was named one of 10 best places in the world for Americans to settle down thanks to its political stability and low crime rates.
The city-state ranked ninth with a score of 7.6 out of 10 points in a new report by leading online platform Country Navigator that identifies the destinations offering the most to American travelers considering relocation.

To compile the rankings, the company analyzed a range of factors, including the number of Americans already living in each destination, annual U.S. relocation searches, political stability, and cultural similarities to the United States. Each metric was then weighted and combined to produce an overall score out of 10.
With more than 11,000 annual searches from the U.S., Singapore is highly praised by Americans for its stable political environment, low crime rates and cultural similarities, the report added.
Switzerland took the top spot, followed by New Zealand and Ireland.
