Everyone was shocked when a lawyer got emotional and started narrating his story in front of a bench headed by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) in the Supreme Court. The lawyer expressed grief and said that no one listens to poor lawyers like me in this place. It seems that there is no room left for the poor here.
During this, the CJI listened carefully to the lawyer and asked why you did not send a formal complaint in this regard? Know what this whole matter is.
This entire matter is to the delay in work in the Supreme Court registry. The lawyer who appeared before CJI Surya Kant claimed that despite repeatedly filing complaints, his case is being continuously delayed in the Supreme Court registry. Only a file-file game is being played in the name of registry.
The lawyer said with a very sad heart that he was being continuously made to run from one counter to another and then to the third counter. No one is ready to listen to them and they are being mentally tortured even today.
The lawyer reminded the CJI of his earlier assurance that he had raised the matter with him on May 25 also. During that time the CJI himself had assured that he would personally look into the matter. The lawyer said that despite this his work is not being done and he is being continuously harassed. Whenever they go to the registrar, they are redirected from one window to another.
The lawyer further said that he has been continuously complaining in this regard for the last six months, but till now his complaint has not been listed for hearing. For this he wrote letters several times and also sent emails. When they go to the General Secretary, they call the Registrar and when they go to the Registrar, they get away with it by calling someone else.
Meanwhile, in another development, Rahul Gandhi has sat on a dharna outside the DGP office demanding registration of FIR in the pellet gun case.
After hearing the complaint of the lawyer, the CJI said that at present no registrar is present here. I cannot promise that you will meet the Registrar today itself, but please submit your written application. We will try our best to help you.
On this the lawyer said that he has brought all the necessary letters and documents with him. At last the lawyer said in a very emotional manner that he is feeling very bad today that there is no place for a poor lawyer like me in the biggest court of the country (Supreme Court).
