Prime Video has announced September 25 as the global premiere date for Don’t Be Shy, a young-adult romantic comedy produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under Eternal Sunshine Productions. Written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, the film features four newcomers, Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora and Piyush Khati, in the lead roles. The story follows young adults navigating friendship, love, heartbreak, ambitions and the uncertainty that comes with growing up. The cast also includes Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia and Anju Alva Naik. The film will stream worldwide on Prime Video in Hindi with English subtitles from September 25.
Don’t Be Shy will be available exclusively on Prime Video from September 25, 2026. The film will stream across India as well as more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The coming-of-age comedy has been written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, marking a project built around a young ensemble and stories of relationships, friendship and self-discovery.
The film is led by Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora and Piyush Khati, with Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia and Anju Alva Naik appearing in pivotal roles.
The film has been produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt through Eternal Sunshine Productions, with Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani serving as co-producers.
In a joint statement, Alia and Shaheen Bhatt said, "Don't Be Shy has been extremely special to us from the very beginning, and we couldn’t be prouder to see it come to life. At the centre of Don’t Be Shy are four young performers making their mark in a story focused on the complicated experiences of early adulthood. The film explores first relationships, friendships, heartbreak and the process of working out what one wants from life. Its young cast is supported by established actors and performers, giving the film a mix of new faces and familiar names.
With its September 25 global premiere, Don’t Be Shy will be available to Prime Video subscribers in Hindi with English subtitles, giving audiences in India and overseas access to the film on the same date. For Alia and Shaheen Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions, the film adds another young-focused story to its slate, while Sreeti Mukerji makes her mark as both writer and director.
