According to media reports, WhatsApp has made a significant change to its existing two-step verification feature. Users now have the option to set an alphanumeric password—consisting of both letters and numbers—for 2FA, offering improved privacy.

It is also worth noting that another update has been rolled out for WhatsApp. Now, if a user receives a call from a number not saved in their contact list, the app will display additional information about the caller.

Additionally, WhatsApp has made the process of using passkeys easier. Users can now utilize multiple passkeys for their accounts; this feature has been introduced for both Android and iOS users.

To set up a passkey for your account, go to 'Settings' and click on the 'Account' option. From there, navigate to 'Passkeys' to set up your new passkey.

This new update allows users to identify whether a number originates from another country and whether the caller shares a WhatsApp group with them. This feature will prove particularly beneficial for users who often need to answer unexpected calls immediately.
