Danger of heavy rain in these 14 states
According to the Meteorological Department, today there may be rain in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Strong storm may also occur at many places. The wind speed can reach around 70 to 80 kilometers per hour. There is also a possibility of lightning and hailstorm in some areas. It would be better to avoid going to open areas during rains. Farmers and fishermen need to take special care.
Heavy rain and storm in Himachal
Weather may remain bad in many districts of Himachal Pradesh today. There is a danger of thunderstorm with heavy rain in Mandi, Shimla, Kullu, Kangra, Chamba, Kinnaur, Solan and Bilaspur. In these areas the wind can blow at a speed of about 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Due to rain in the mountains, there may be a danger of stones falling on the road and landslides. The maximum temperature in Manali today is expected to be around 17 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 9 degrees.

Rain alert in Jammu and Kashmir also
The effect of rain and storm can be seen in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir today. Yellow alert is in place in Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Budgam, Kulgam, Ramban, Kishtwar, Mirpur, Reasi, Jammu and Kathua. Due to rain, the temperature here may drop by about 2 to 3 degrees. The day temperature in Srinagar can be around 32 degrees and the night temperature can be around 16 degrees. People going to hilly areas must check the weather information before leaving.
