Liverpool have reached an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain to sign France forward Bradley Barcola, 23, according to The Athletic. The fee agreed between the two clubs is understood to be around €135m. The broad terms of the proposed transfer were settled overnight on Wednesday, with the remaining details now being worked out.

Barcola featured 49 times for Luis Enrique’s team last season, scoring 13 goals and registering seven assists as PSG retained the Ligue 1 title and lifted the Champions League. Unhappy with his role at the club, the Frenchman told the Ligue 1 champions that he would not sign a new contract and wanted to take on a fresh challenge in the Premier League with Liverpool.

Now that an agreement in principle has been struck, the France international attacker is set to travel to Merseyside to complete his move to his new club. Personal terms are not believed to be a problem, with the 23-year-old firm in his wish to join Anfield.
