AS Monaco and Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement over the transfer of Lamine Camara, 22, according to information from journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Although a few details still need to be settled, especially the payment structure, the move is expected to be completed for a fee of €45m, including bonuses. After being linked with several clubs this summer, the midfielder is now expected to sign for the Blues in the coming hours.

One of the standout players in his role in Ligue 1, Camara has spent the last two years at Monaco fulfilling the promise he showed during his early breakthrough with FC Metz. Across all competitions, the Diouloulou-born midfielder made 75 appearances for the principality club and delivered 17 decisive contributions, scoring six goals and registering 11 assists.

At international level, Camara has represented Senegal 37 times, featuring at the most recent Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup, and has scored five goals for his country.
