The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has constituted a three-member committee to investigate the power supply issues that occurred at two iON Digital Zone centers in Sitapura, Jaipur, during the NEET PG 2026 examination. The committee will ascertain the circumstances under which the power supply failure occurred and identify the root cause of the disruption to the exam.

The examination could not be completed at these two centers due to an internal power supply failure, affecting the candidates taking the test there.

Who is on the committee?
The committee formed for the investigation comprises three senior officials:

A senior official from the Rajasthan Government
An official of Joint Secretary rank from the Union Ministry of Health
A senior engineering officer from the Central Electricity Authority

According to an official, the committee will investigate the matter and submit its report within the stipulated timeframe.

When will the exam for the 2,445 affected candidates be held?
NBEMS has decided to conduct a re-examination for the 2,445 candidates who could not complete the test due to the power supply issue. The NEET PG exam for these candidates will be held in Jaipur on September 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

NBEMS has also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the affected candidates. The board stated that the re-examination is being conducted to ensure a fair and equal opportunity for the affected candidates.

Was the NEET PG question paper leaked in Jaipur?
