BHEL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced a major apprenticeship opportunity for young candidates. Vacancy Details
The highest number of vacancies—380—has been allocated for Trade Apprentices. These include trades such as Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Turner, Machinist, Instrument Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, Mechanic (R&AC), and COPA. Selected candidates will undergo a 12-month apprenticeship. Depending on the specific trade, the monthly stipend ranges from ₹10,560 to ₹11,040.
Stipend Details
Additionally, recruitment will be conducted for 60 Technician Apprentice posts. These positions are open to diploma holders in Mechanical, Computer, Civil, Electronics & Communication, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,900 during the one-year training period.
A total of 90 vacancies have been announced in the Graduate Apprentice category. These include roles in Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, as well as positions for Accountants and HR Assistants. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹12,300.
Eligibility Criteria
The age limit for applicants is set at a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 27 years. Age relaxations apply: 5 years for SC/ST categories, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for candidates with disabilities (PwD).
How to Apply
High School and ITI qualifications are mandatory for Trade Apprentices, a diploma for Technician Apprentices, and a degree in the relevant subject for Graduate Apprentices. Applications will be accepted only via the online mode. Candidates must first register on the relevant government apprenticeship portal and subsequently submit their applications on the BHEL Trichy portal.
The online application process began on August 14, 2026, and will remain open until 11:45 PM on September 12, 2026. However, BHEL has clarified that there is no obligation to employ upon completion of the apprenticeship.
