One of the most tedious and difficult tasks in house cleaning is considered to be polishing bathroom floors and tiles. This combination is considered to be the most effective in melting old grime and salt water stains on the floor.
Method of use: First of all, sprinkle light water on the entire bathroom floor. After this, sprinkle a good amount of baking soda on the tiles and their joints. Now fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and spray it on the baking soda. As soon as you spray, foam (fizzing action) will start forming. Leave it like this for 15 to 20 minutes. After this, rub it lightly with an old toothbrush or plastic wiper and wash it with lukewarm water.
Benefit: The mild acid of vinegar cuts through soap scum and the baking soda gives the tiles a polish-like shine without scratching them.
If there is borewell or hard water in your area and there is a layer of white lime on the floor, then this remedy shows immediate effect.
Method of use: Make a thick paste by mixing the juice of 3 to 4 lemons in two tablespoons of coarse salt. Apply this paste thoroughly on the stained tiles and corners. After 15 minutes, rub the stained area in circular motion with the remaining lemon peel and wash it with water.

Method of use: Mix half a cup of baking soda, one-fourth cup of hydrogen peroxide (3% Medical Grade) and 1 teaspoon of liquid dishwash gel in a bowl.
