Pune/Cricket News: In the 5th 'Sportsfield Monsoon League' organized by Sportsfield Management, Vijay Cricket Academy and Ecole Sports Foundation overcame their opponents with a strong performance in the under-14 30-over cricket tournament. Vijay Cricket Academy is a member of Phantom Cricket Club (Pune) defeated by eight wickets to register their third win in a row. Ecole Sports Foundation beat the All-rounder Sports team by three runs to claim their fifth straight win.

Batting first, Phantom Cricket Club scored 97 runs in 24.2 overs in the ongoing tournament at Tembhekar Farms Cricket Ground, Satara Road. Savio Raphael top scored with 22 not out. Kaushal Gaikwad of Vijay Cricket Academy bowled accurately and took two wickets in three runs. Manav Solanki supported him by taking two wickets for 19 runs.

Vijay Cricket Academy easily reached the target of 98 runs required for victory with the loss of two wickets in 16.4 overs. Rishikesh Londhe scored 22 runs. Aryan Singh scored 26 not out, while Sachin Bora scored 15 not out to facilitate the team's victory. With this win, Vijay Cricket Academy registered their third consecutive win in the tournament.

Meanwhile, in the second match, Ecole Sports Foundation defeated the all-rounder by just three runs on the strength of Vedant Jam's impressive bowling. Ecole Sports Foundation put up a challenge of 180 runs while batting first. While batting aggressively, Prathamesh Patole scored 56 runs in 40 balls with the help of eight fours and one six. Ryan Pavaskar contributed 26 runs while Kovid Parashar contributed 20 runs to increase the team's score.

Chasing a target of 181 runs, the all-rounder's innings ended on 177 runs in the last over. Siddhant Singh scored 74 runs off 60 balls with the help of 11 fours to take the team closer to victory. However, the bowlers of Ekol hit in the last phase and tilted the match in their favor. Samik Patankar gave him good support by taking two wickets. In the end Ecole Sports Foundation registered a thrilling victory by three runs to register their fifth consecutive win in the tournament.
