The weather mood has changed in the entire country including Delhi-NCR. On one hand monsoon is leaving, on the other hand heavy rains are falling in many states of the country due to the low pressure created over the Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert with statistical forecast for more than 18 states and union territories of the country on September 3.

Red Alert for Delhi-NCR

Rainy conditions continue in Delhi-NCR region amid chances of departure of Monsoon. According to IMD, Delhi will remain cloudy with light to moderate rain likely for the next three days. According to weather agency Skymet, some parts of Delhi may experience continuous showers till Thursday and Friday.

Heavy rain warning in several districts of UP

The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorm and heavy rain in the districts of western Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rains will continue over western UP till September 4, while rain showers are likely to continue over parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh till September 5.

Status of Bihar

According to IMD, Bihar may receive heavy rainfall at some places on September 3 and 4. Thunderstorm, thunder and lightning are expected in the state till September 6.

Status of West Bengal

A heavy rain alert is in place across West Bengal, including capital Kolkata. Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurdwar, Darjeeling and Coochbehar are likely to receive heavy rains in the next two days. Apart from this, heavy rain is forecast in Hooghly, East-West Bardhaman, Birbhum, Howrah, Murshidabad and 24 Parganas districts.
