Photos published by Sina Entertainment showed Jing arriving at the spa in casual clothes, wearing a hat and face mask and accompanied by an assistant.

The images quickly trended on Weibo, where users were divided over her seemingly relaxed appearance.

“What happened has happened; should she hide away and not dare to show her face, or must she weep and mourn?” one user wrote.

Another commented: “Jing Tian is just pretending to be normal to prove she is ‘innocent’.”

The controversy erupted in late August after Sun sued Jing and her parents to recover 30 million yuan (US$4.2 million), described in reports as a betrothal or dowry payment, according to Kbizoom.

Sun, founder of the TRON blockchain network, has an estimated net worth of US$8.5 billion, according to Forbes.

He later published a lengthy account of their relationship, alleging that the couple had discussed marriage and surrogacy, The Standard reported.

Sun claimed Jing demanded an additional US$50 million shortly before an egg-retrieval procedure, prompting him to end the relationship after consulting an AI chatbot.

Asked why he labeled the post as “fiction,” Sun told Tech Ifeng: “Most of the content aligns with what I think. I noted ‘fiction’ because I cannot guarantee that 100% of the details are factual. But at least I wrote what I was thinking, including my doubts.”

He also told Sing Tao Headline: “I am still not sure if the AI’s judgment was correct, nor am I certain if the decision I made at the time was right or wrong.”

Jing rejected suggestions that money had motivated her relationships.

“I have not in the past, do not now, and will not in the future ever sell my love for money, let alone my soul,” she wrote on Weibo.

She added: “I still believe in love but my judgment in men is still poor, and I am still lacking in wisdom. In the end, I believe in the law, I believe in kindness, and I believe there will ultimately be justice and fairness. Time will prove everything.”

Her management agency said it would deal with the dispute through legal channels and would no longer respond to every allegation publicly.

“Reputation is the life of an artist, but also an artist’s vulnerability. However, we have enough courage to say ‘No’ to those who exploit this to pressure artists. We trust the law and will follow legal procedures to handle the matter,” the studio said, according to Kbizoom.

It added that future updates would be limited to formal legal developments.
