Pune/Table Tennis: Wardha district amateur Table tennis In the 4th Maharashtra State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament organized by the association, Rajvardhan Tiwari of Solapur won the boys' category, while Sharanya Patwardhan of Pune won the girls' category by defeating their respective opponents. Rajvardhan Tiwari defeated Thane's Adhiraj Chauhan in five games 11-13, 11-6, 5-11, 11-9, 11-2 in the under-11 boys final of the tournament, which was held at the District Sports Complex Hall in Wardha. In the beginning, this match was tough and in the end, Rajvardhan won the title with his aggressive play.
Rajvardhan is studying at St. Joseph's English Medium School, Barshi and practices under the guidance of coach Ganesh Swamy at the Barshi Table Tennis Academy. In the girls' under-11 final, Pune's Sharanya Patwardhan won the title by defeating Thane's Kiara Lele 11-4, 11-7, 13-11 in three straight games. Sharanya played aggressively from the beginning of the match and did not give much chance to Kiara. Sharanya is studying in 5th standard at MES Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium School and is training at Martand Biniwale Table Tennis Academy under the guidance of coach Martand Biniwale.
