There is maximum curiosity about Apple's first foldable iPhone. According to the reports of Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the company may name it iPhone Duo. However, before this there were also reports of it coming under the name iPhone Ultra. The foldable iPhone is expected to have a book-style design. Once the phone is opened, its display can become bigger and wider, which can improve the experience of watching videos, gaming and using multiple apps simultaneously.
According to reports, A20 Pro chipset and Apple's new in-house C2 modem can be given in the foldable iPhone. There is also a possibility of Apple Pencil support with magnetic hinge system. Talking about the camera, it can have two 48 megapixel cameras at the back and 12 megapixel camera at the front. The base model with 256GB storage can cost around $2,000 i.e. around Rs 1.90 lakh. At the same time, the price of the top model can reach around $3,000 i.e. around Rs 2.85 lakh. Its sale is expected to start from October and it may be available in White and Dark Blue colors.
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max can also be introduced along with the foldable iPhone. Both these models are likely to retain the existing candy-bar design, but a major change may be seen in the display. According to leaks, a small Dynamic Island can be given in iPhone 18 Pro models. The new system may be able to show three live tasks simultaneously in the upper part of the screen. Current models provide the facility to show two live tasks. Both Pro models are also expected to get A20 Pro chipset and better battery backup.
Along with the camera hardware, changes can also be seen in the software in the iPhone 18 Pro series. There is a possibility of providing new lenses and some new features to the camera for professional users. There is talk of variable aperture feature in iPhone 18 Pro Max. This can give users more control over depth of field and help improve photography in low light. Apart from this, Apple is also working on a new vapor chamber cooling system, which can help in protecting the phone from overheating.
Not every iPhone model is expected to be introduced at this event. According to reports, the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and the second-generation iPhone Air will not be a part of the event. These models are likely to be launched next year.
Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4 can also be introduced at the event.
