Weather 10 September 2026: Alert of torrential rain in 24 states today

New Delhi. New Delhi: Rains are showing fierce form from North to North East and South India. Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department has issued warning of torrential rains and thunderstorms in 24 states. During heavy rains, winds can blow at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that a low pressure area is likely to form over west-central and northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha coasts. According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is present in the lower tropospheric level over eastern Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar. A trough is extending from South Gujarat to the cyclonic circulation at lower tropospheric level up to East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar. A trough is extending from South Telangana to Gulf of Mannar at lower tropospheric level.

Low pressure area likely to form
In the lower atmosphere i.e. tropospheric level, a ‘trough’ is a low pressure area of ​​air from South Telangana to the Gulf of Mannar. In the lower atmosphere itself, cyclonic circulation of upper air is persisting over North Haryana and its surrounding areas. Meanwhile, a low pressure area is likely to form over the west-central and north-western parts of the Bay of Bengal and the adjoining coasts of North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha. There is a possibility of isolated rain with thunderstorm and lightning over the rest of North-West India. During this time, the Meteorological Department has requested people to check the weather before leaving their homes. Fishermen have been appealed not to venture into the sea during bad weather.

Rain alert in these 24 states
India Meteorological Department has issued an alert of storm and torrential rain in 24 states. This includes Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Odisha, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, Nagaland, Tripura and Mizoram.

Delhi NCR
Delhi (10 to 14 September): There is a warning of heavy rain in Delhi tomorrow i.e. 10 September 2026. This sequence of weather may continue till September 14. In the latest forecast of India Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain for Delhi from September 11. The weather is expected to remain almost similar on September 10 also. The sky may remain partly cloudy. The maximum temperature of Delhi on this day is likely to be 34 degrees and the minimum will be 26 degrees Celsius.

Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh (September 10 – Stormy rain alert): There is a warning of torrential rain in Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Agra, Mathura, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Ambedkar Nagar, Rampur, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Shahjahanpur, Bahraich, Sonbhadra, Balrampur, Ambedkar Nagar, Chandauli, Mirzapur and Unnao. During this period, stormy winds were blowing at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. In Lucknow tomorrow i.e. on September 10, the maximum temperature is likely to be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 26 degrees.

Bihar
Bihar (September 10 – Torrential rain alert): There is a warning of torrential rain in Patna, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Madhubani, Araria, Bhagalpur, East Champaran, Rohtas, Bhojpur, Samastipur, Purnia, Katihar, Begusarai, West Champaran, Buxar, Aurangabad, Saran, and Darbhanga. During this period, there is a possibility of rain with wind blowing at a speed of 60 kilometers. In Patna tomorrow i.e. on 10th September, the maximum temperature can be 32 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature can be 27 degree Celsius.

Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh (10 September – Heavy rain warning): There is an alert of torrential rain in Guna, Narmadapuram, Indore, Bhopal, Dewas, Khandwa, Narsinghpur, Ujjain, Morena, Katni, Neemuch, Panna, Ashok Nagar and Sheopur. During this time, wind can blow at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature in Bhopal on September 10, 2026 will be 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 21 degrees Celsius.

Rajasthan

Rajasthan (September 10 – Heavy rain warning): Heavy rain and hailstorm may occur at isolated places in Bundi, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Baran, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bhilwara, Tonk and Chittorgarh. Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh (September 10 – Rain alert): Heavy to very heavy rain may occur in Kullu, Mandi, Kinnaur, Solan, Chamba, Kangra and Bilaspur. The India Meteorological Department has also predicted winds to blow at a speed of 55 to 65 Kmph during this period. Jharkhand
