Spain recorded €82 billion (US$95 billion) in tourism spending in the first seven months of this year, up 7.8% year-on-year, driven by the increase in expenditure per traveler and the longer duration of stays.

Spain, the world’s second most visited country after France, received 58.1 million international tourists in the first seven months this year, a 4.6 year-on-year increase.
In July alone, it welcomed 11.5 million foreign tourists, a 4.6% year-on-year increase, up 5.9%, while the average trip duration grew by 2.2% to 7.2 days, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
International tourist spending reached €18.218 billion during the month, up 10.9% from the same month in 2025.
The U.K. topped the July spending, with 3.03 million euros, accounting for 16.7% of all foreign tourist expenditure.
Germany ranked second with 1.75 million, and France third with 1.64 million.
Spain expects to welcome 100 million tourists this year after receiving a record 97 million visitors in 2025.
