A big development has come to light amid the ongoing political turmoil in Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Ashok Siddharth, father-in-law of BSP supremo Mayawati's nephew Akash Anand and senior party leader, has announced his complete retirement from politics. He gave this information by posting on social media platform X. This decision has come just a day after Mayawati's advice in which she had advised Ashok Siddharth to give up his political ambitions and retire from politics.
In fact, Mayawati had advised him to retire from politics a day earlier. He had also claimed that Ashok Siddharth's selfishness and political ambitions were also affecting the political future of his son-in-law Akash Anand.
Ashok Siddharth while addressing Mayawati in his post said that for him Mayawati's order is greater than anything in the world. He wrote that his relationships, relatives and family are all very small in front of Mayawati's orders.
Ashok Siddharth said that under the guidance of Mayawati, he has been dedicated to the mission of BSP, Honorable Kanshi Ram and Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar for the last 35 years. He said in his post that whenever Mayawati gave him any responsibility, he tried to fulfill it to the best of his ability.
Ashok Siddharth described Mayawati as his political guru and elder sister and said that she gave a lot to an ordinary worker like him. He said that it was because of Mayawati that he remained a member of the Legislative Council and Rajya Sabha.
He also said that Mayawati considered him worthy of making an ordinary worker like him a member of her family. Ashok Siddharth called it a debt to Mayawati which he can never repay in his life.
Ashok Siddharth also gave clarification on the allegations being leveled against him in his X post. He said that he swears on Kanshi Ram that he never did anything against the interest of the party. He said that he could not even dream of doing anything against Mayawati. Ashok Siddharth wrote that his and his family's entire life is indebted to Mayawati. He further said that every advice and order of Mayawati is the last word for him.
He wrote in his post, “Respected Sister Ji, leave aside giving advice to Honorable Akash Ji, I have met him on a few occasions in the past several months when his programs were organized in the states for which you had given me the responsibility.”
He further wrote, “Honourable sister ji, because of the respect I have received from you, some of our party colleagues accuse me of wanting to take over the party, that I am trying to mislead honorable Akash Anand ji… There is not even an iota of truth in this! Respected sister ji, I am telling you with a humble request that this is a conspiracy of my political opponents, who are involved in anti-party activities, the truth of which will definitely be revealed to you one day or the other.”
Mayawati had written in her post that Mayawati said that the upcoming assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab are very important for BSP and Bahujan movement. At such a time, action is being taken against people who give priority to personal or family interests against the interests of the party. He accused Ashok Siddharth of giving more importance to his personal and family interests and political ambitions than the party's mission, which also affected his son-in-law Akash Anand.
Mayawati advised Ashok Siddharth to completely retire from politics and said that by doing so, Akash Anand would get a chance to work independently in the party. After this the party can sympathetically consider giving back his responsibilities. Besides, Mayawati had also talked about clearing the way for Akash Anand to work free from their influence in the interest of the party and the Bahujan Movement.
