A 25-year-old TikTok creator, identified as Arishma, was found dead inside her flat in Lahore’s Islampura area, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

According to reports, Arishma had been living independently in the flat for around two years, while her parents resided in another part of Lahore. The case came to light after neighbours reportedly noticed a strong smell coming from the property and alerted the police.

Police reached the location and found the woman’s body inside the flat. Investigators believe she may have been dead for several days before the discovery.

The body was shifted for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. Physical and chemical samples were also collected and sent to a forensic laboratory for analysis.

Authorities are examining the case from different angles. Suicide is reportedly among the possibilities being considered, but police have not reached any final conclusion. The actual cause of death is expected to become clearer after the post-mortem and forensic reports are received.

News of Arishma’s death quickly spread across social media, particularly on TikTok, where users expressed shock and concern over the circumstances of the incident.

Meanwhile, reports and social media discussions have included claims about people who allegedly knew the deceased. However, these claims have not been independently established, and police have yet to publicly confirm whether another individual was involved in the incident.

The case has also prompted debate online about privacy, responsible reporting and the dangers of spreading unverified allegations following a person’s death. Some users criticised reports that appeared to focus on the woman’s personal life rather than waiting for investigators to establish the facts.
