Ganesh Chaturthi 2026: This year the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 14 September 2026. This means that now in just a few days the holy festival of Bappa will start. The birth anniversary of Ganpati Bappa is celebrated on Ganesh Chaturthi. It is said that Goddess Parvati had built it on the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. The main offering of Lord Ganesha is Modak. This is considered to be their very favorite Prasad. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is very special in Maharashtra. Hence, people there usually make traditional Ugadiche Modak. These modaks are made from rice flour, jaggery and coconut shavings. But this year you can make modaks of different flavors on Ganesh Chaturthi. Let us know some tasty and easy recipes of fusion modak. To make betel flavored modak, first of all you have to wash the betel leaves and chop them finely. Put khoya in the pan and fry it lightly on low flame. Now add powdered sugar, betel leaves and cardamom powder and mix well. When the mixture thickens, turn off the gas and leave it to cool. Now prepare the filling by mixing Gulkand, coconut shavings and chopped dry fruits. You can take a small ball of khoya mixture, fill it with gulkand filling and press it into the modak mold to shape it. Delicious and unique Paan Modak is ready, which can be offered to Bappa on Ganesh Chaturthi.
To make this modak, you have to melt the chocolate and keep it aside. After this, add khoya and milk powder in the pan and fry it on low flame. Now when this mixture cools down, add melted chocolate and dry fruits to it. Now fill the mixture in the modak mold, press it well and keep it in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes. Easy chocolate modak is ready.
For this, first of all you should lightly fry all the dry fruits and grind them coarsely. Now grind the dates in a mixer and make a paste. Now add some ghee in the pan and fry the date paste and add dry fruits to it. Now cool the modak mixture and shape it with your hands or you can make modaks with the help of a mould. Dry fruits modak are ready, offer them to Bappa and then distribute them to others.
To make saffron-mawa modak, first of all you have to put mawa in a pan and fry it on low flame. Add sugar, saffron and cardamom to it and mix well. When the mixture becomes thick, turn off the gas. After it cools down, fill the mixture in the modak mold and decorate with pistachios and almonds on top. Place saffron leaves on the modak.
To make coconut-sesame modak, first lightly roast the white sesame seeds and keep them aside. Now add some ghee in the pan and fry the coconut and add jaggery to it. After melting the jaggery, prepare the mixture by adding roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder. Cool it a little and fill it in the modak mold and shape it.
While making modak for offering on Ganesh Chaturthi, use fresh and pure ingredients. Consume them only after offering them.
