Tezzbuzz Desk- Apple has finally launched its first foldable iPhone iPhone Duo. The company has launched it in the market with premium features and foldable design. Its starting price in India has been kept at Rs 2,99,900, while the price of the top model goes up to Rs 4,49,900.
iPhone Duo has features like A20 Pro chipset, two 48-megapixel rear cameras and MagSafe wireless charging. The phone has been introduced in Star White and Night Sky colors. Its pre-orders in India will start from October 16, while sales will start from October 23.
Apple has launched iPhone Duo in four storage variants. The price of its 256GB model is Rs 2,99,900. Whereas the price of 512GB variant is Rs 3,24,900, 1TB model is Rs 3,74,900 and the price of 2TB variant with highest storage is Rs 4,49,900. The phone will be available in two color options, Star White and Night Sky.
On opening the iPhone Duo, it has a 7.6 inch Super Retina XDR display. This is the largest display ever given in an iPhone. A 5.4 inch screen is provided outside the phone. ProMotion and Always-On Display are supported in both the displays. The outdoor brightness of the screen goes up to 3,000 nits. The phone has a precision hinge made from more than 100 components. It is constructed from titanium and has Ceramic Shield 2 protection on the front. The phone has also received IP68 rating.
Talking about camera setup, iPhone Duo has 48MP Fusion primary camera and 48MP Fusion ultra-wide camera. The phone has a 12MP center stage front camera for selfies and video calls. The benefit of foldable design can also be seen in camera features. The phone has features like Smart Tech, Duo Preview and taking selfies from the rear camera through the outer display.
Apple has also made many changes in iOS 27 keeping in mind the foldable design of iPhone Duo. It has Split View multitasking and new controls, so that the big screen can be used better. Apple Intelligence and Siri AI are also supported in the phone.
The company's A20 Pro chipset is provided in iPhone Duo. It also comes with a custom vapor chamber, which helps in controlling the temperature of the phone. According to Apple, the continuous performance of iPhone Duo is up to 35 percent better than iPhone 17 Pro.
Dual-battery setup has been given in the foldable phone. According to Apple, iPhone Duo can provide up to 24 hours of battery life when both displays are used equally. Apart from this, support for MagSafe wireless charging is also present in the phone. In this way, with iPhone Duo, Apple has entered the foldable smartphone segment. With iOS 27 ready for larger displays, high-end processors, cameras, and foldable screens, this is the company's most unique iPhone yet.
