Arsenal are considering a move for Como midfielder Nico Paz next summer and have already made initial enquiries.

Paz has emerged as a target for Arsenal ahead of the summer 2027 transfer window, with Mikel Arteta keen to strengthen his attacking options. The 22-year-old played a major part in Como qualifying for the Champions League for the first time, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists in Serie A last season.

He was named Serie A’s Best Midfielder for 2025/26 and was also included in the division’s Team of the Season.

The Argentina international had previously attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur in 2025, with Spurs seeing two offers rejected.

According to Bernabeu Digital, Arsenal are now assessing whether to make a move, though Real Madrid’s buy-back clause could make any deal more complicated.

The Spanish club sold Paz to Como in the summer for a reported €66m (£56.6m), but kept an €80m (£68.6m) buy-back clause that can be triggered at the end of the season. Real chose not to bring Paz back last summer, though they are still keeping a close watch on his development in Italy.
