Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary transferred pension amounts to the accounts of the state's social security pensioners on September 10. The CM transferred the social security pension for the month of August to beneficiaries via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). An event was organized in Munger on September 10 for this transfer, where the CM used a remote control to transfer the funds directly into the beneficiaries' bank accounts.

Funds for the August social security pension were transferred to the accounts of 105.68 lakh pensioners. Under this initiative, a pension amount of ₹1,100 was sent to each beneficiary's account. The CM transferred a total of ₹1,233.87 crore to the beneficiaries via DBT.

The monthly pension of ₹1,100 was disbursed to beneficiaries of the following schemes: Mukhyamantri Vriddhjan Pension Yojana, Bihar Disability Pension Scheme, Lakshmibai Social Security Pension Scheme, Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme, Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme, and Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme.

The social security pension was credited to beneficiaries' accounts on September 10. Beneficiaries who receive the social security pension monthly can easily check the status. You will receive a notification message regarding the pension credit on the mobile number linked to your account; ensure your mobile phone is switched on for this.

If your mobile phone is switched off, you can update your passbook to see the pension amount credited to your account. Alternatively, you can check the pension amount by generating an account statement at an ATM.
