‘He has a massive influence’ - Michael Carrick praises ‘fantastic’ Manchester United youngster after he broke his Champions League record

Mainoo’s individual excellence also helped lift the squad’s overall belief again after the frustrating draw against Everton last Sunday. Carrick added: “The confidence is there, like at Everton on Sunday for large spells, just took a hit there at the end with the result. It is always nice to win. Another big one on Sunday.”
