SSC SI Recruitment 2026: If you are looking for a government job, there is good news for you. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CPO) Examination 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,871 Sub-Inspector posts across Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and CISF. **When does the application process begin?**
According to the notification, online applications have commenced today, September 10. Interested candidates can apply until 11:00 PM on September 30, 2026. The deadline for submitting the online fee is set for October 1, 2026.

Please note that if any errors occur while filling out the form, a correction window will be available from October 8 to October 10, 2026, allowing candidates to make necessary amendments.

**How ​​many vacancies are there in each department?**
Based on the tentative vacancies released by the SSC, the recruitment will cover 205 posts for male candidates and 112 posts for female candidates in Delhi Police, 1,320 SI (GD) posts in CAPFs, and 234 SI (Fire) posts in CISF. In total, 1,871 posts will be filled.

**Who can apply?**
For Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police and CAPFs, a graduation degree from a recognized university is mandatory. Students in their final year may also apply, provided they fulfill the required educational qualifications by the application deadline.

**Required Degree**
For the SI (Fire) post in CISF, candidates must hold a graduation degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects. Additionally, candidates holding a three-year diploma in specified engineering trades are also eligible to apply for these posts. Regarding the age limit, candidates applying for the posts of Delhi Police SI and CAPFs SI must be between 20 and 25 years of age as of August 1, 2026. However, the age limit for the post of SI (Fire) in CISF has been set at 18 to 30 years.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per the rules. SC and ST candidates will be granted a relaxation of 5 years, while OBC candidates will receive a relaxation of 3 years. Ex-servicemen will also be granted age relaxation in accordance with the regulations.

Driving License Mandatory for Delhi Police SI
Candidates applying for the post of SI (Executive) (Male) in Delhi Police are required to possess a valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) driving license for motorcycles and cars by the date of the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT).
