Do this immediately if you want a confirmed ticket

Everyone agrees that securing tickets during the festive season is difficult, and getting tickets during Diwali and Chhath is particularly challenging. Therefore, if you wish to secure a ticket on these special trains, book it as soon as bookings open. Since passengers tend to book quickly, finding a seat could become difficult if you delay.

What to do if you don't get a seat on a special train?

Due to heavy crowds, it is often difficult to get tickets for special trains. If you do not get a ticket for a specific special train, check for tickets on other trains running on the same route; you might be able to secure a confirmed seat there.

Book tickets for the return journey as well, not just the onward journey

People often think they will book the onward ticket first and the return ticket later. But did you know that getting train tickets during the festive season becomes nearly impossible? Therefore, book your return ticket at the same time you book your outbound ticket to ensure you get a confirmed seat.
