Job Opportunity at ISRO for 10th Pass Candidates; Recruitment for 22 Posts

ISRO’s unit, the ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC) in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, has invited applications for various posts. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 22 vacancies across the roles of Technical Assistant, Technician B, Cook A, and Fireman A.

For candidates preparing for government jobs—specifically those who have passed the 10th standard or hold an ITI qualification—this is an opportunity to secure employment with ISRO. The online application process for this recruitment begins on September 15, 2026.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official IPRC website until October 5, 2026. Notably, candidates who have passed the 10th standard are also eligible to apply for certain Technician, Cook, and Fireman posts.

Vacancy Details by Post

The IPRC recruitment covers a total of 22 posts. These include 5 posts for Technical Assistant, 13 for Technician B, 1 for Cook A, and 3 for Fireman A. The Technical Assistant posts are in the fields of Automobile, Mechanical, and Electronics & Communication. The Technician B category includes trades such as Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Welder, Electrician, and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

Eligibility Criteria for 10th Pass Candidates

For Technician B posts, candidates must have passed the 10th standard. Additionally, they must possess an ITI qualification and an NTC or NAC certificate recognized by the NCVT in the relevant trade. Candidates who have passed the 10th standard can apply for the Cook A post; however, a minimum of 5 years of experience as a cook in a recognized hotel or canteen is required. For the post of Fireman A, candidates must have passed the 10th standard and meet the prescribed physical test requirements. For the post of Technical Assistant, a first-class diploma in the relevant engineering discipline is required.

Salary can go up to ₹1.42 lakh

Selected candidates will receive a salary based on the pay level assigned to their specific post. Technical Assistants fall under Pay Level 7, with a salary range of ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400. The Technician B post falls under Pay Level 3 (₹21,700 to ₹69,100), while the posts of Technician A and Fireman A fall under Pay Level 2 (₹19,900 to ₹63,200).

What is the application fee?

The application fee for the Technical Assistant post is ₹750. For the posts of Technician B, Cook A, and Fireman A, the fee is ₹500.

How ​​will the selection take place?

Candidates for Technical Assistant and Technician B posts must undergo a written examination and a skill test. For Cook A, a skill test will follow the written examination. For Fireman A, a physical efficiency test and a medical examination will follow the written examination. The written examination for Technical Assistant and Technician B will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 90 minutes. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, while 0.33 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer (negative marking). The examinations for Cook and Fireman will consist of 100 questions each, with a duration of 120 minutes. In these two exams, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
